ABOUT ELMER
Elmer Cañas Jr. is an Executive Pastor, speaker, and creative leader with over 20 years of experience serving the local church. He is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus while equipping leaders to steward their gifts with excellence, humility, and purpose. Elmer brings a unique blend of pastoral heart and creative leadership shaped by years in worship ministry, organizational leadership, and team development.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Elmer is bilingual in English and Spanish and connects naturally across cultures and generations. His ministry journey has included serving on staff at leading churches across the United States, as well as four years as a staff pastor in Sydney, Australia. These experiences have shaped his global perspective and deepened his commitment to developing healthy leaders and teams.
Elmer currently serves as Executive Pastor of Ministries at LifePoint Church in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he oversees campus pastors, ministries, worship, and creative teams across a growing multi campus church. He is actively involved in preaching, leadership training, worship culture development, songwriting, music production, and ministry consulting.
Whether speaking to pastors, worship leaders, creatives, or volunteer teams, Elmer communicates with clarity, authenticity, and conviction. His messages are practical, faith filled, and grounded in Scripture, with a strong emphasis on legacy, spiritual formation, and building the local church.
Elmer and his wife Laurie have been married for over 18 years and are raising three children. Together, they are committed to serving the Church and investing in the next generation of leaders.
